v0.1.0
b6a6361

First public release of Commentator: moderate your WordPress comments from your Android phone, without Google and without a cloud service.

Install

  1. Download commentator-0.1.0.apk on your phone.
  2. Open it and allow installing from your browser or file manager when Android asks.
  3. Connect your blog: enter its address, sign in to WordPress and approve.

Requires Android 8.0 or newer and WordPress 5.6 or newer over HTTPS. Updates are manual for now: install the newer APK over the old one. The APK is signed with the project key, so updates install over this version.

Optional: the Commentator Bridge plugin enables instant notifications (with ntfy or another UnifiedPush app) and faster checks.

Project page with the full workflow as a video (German): https://linuxundich.de/projekte/commentator/

SHA-256 of the APK is in commentator-0.1.0.apk.sha256. See the changelog for details.
