A lost connection no longer fails the turn. When no connection can be
made to the provider — the Wi-Fi dropped, a VPN is reconnecting, the DNS
stopped answering — the request is re-sent every few seconds for as long
as it takes, and the turn carries on by itself the moment the network is
back. Meanwhile the status line says what is happening: an amber
Waiting for internet…with how long the host has been gone, over a row
naming the host and counting the attempts. Esc still interrupts, and a
message that never got through comes back to the composer. A provider that
answers badly keeps the bounded/settingsError retry, which at0
turns the wait off too; a local Ollama that is not running still says to
start it (docs/offline.md). -
A question nobody answers no longer stalls the agent. When the agent
asks you something and no key is pressed for ten minutes, the question
closes unanswered and the agent keeps working: it is told you are away,
uses its best judgment, and states what it assumed in its reply. Any key
starts the wait over, so you are never timed out mid-answer, and a
Timeout: 9:41chip in the question's bottom border counts it down, amber
in its last minute. Answers you gave before stepping
away still count. Set the wait — 5 minutes to an hour, or never — with the
new/settingsAsk timeout row, orALTER_ZERO_ASK_TIMEOUT_SECS
(docs/ask.md). -
The Kali container includes Node.js and npm by default and declares TCP
ports 22, 80, 3000, 5000, 8000 and 9000–9009 alongside 8080/8888. Host
publishing stays limited to loopback ports 8080/8888 unless configured with
docker/run.sh --port. No additional services are started. -
Arch Linux packages on the AUR.
alter-zero-bininstalls the prebuilt
release binary in seconds, verified against the release's checksums, and
alter-zerobuilds the tagged release from source with Arch's own Rust and
runs the test suite. Both cover x86_64 and aarch64, and each replaces the
other, so only one is installed at a time. Update them through your AUR
helper (yay -Syu,paru -Syu) rather thanalter-zero update, which
reinstalls over the running binary's own directory (docs/aur.md).
Changed
- The
/command palette keeps the highlight centered. Scrolling the
slash-command list now works like the/modeland/resumepickers:
once the highlight reaches the middle row it stays there and the list
scrolls under it, so the commands above and below it remain visible. It
slides to the top or bottom row only at the ends of the list. Previously
the highlight was pinned to the bottom row once the list began to scroll,
hiding every command after it. On narrow terminals, where descriptions wrap
onto several rows, the window balances the rows shown above and below the
highlight (docs/design.md).
