What's New

Signal Propagation Delay Visualizer

New animated panel in Mission view showing:

  • One-way and round-trip light time
  • "Transmit now → arrives at" and "Seeing telemetry from" timestamps
  • Animated pulse traveling between Earth and spacecraft (~2.5s loop)

Ephemeris Range Fallback

When DSN doesn't provide RTLT data, the app now fetches range and light-time from JPL Horizons:

  • Uses the actively tracking DSN complex as the observer
  • 60-second cache per (spacecraft, complex) to avoid rate limiting
  • Ephemeris estimates shown in muted purple with source indicator
