Omeety Terminal v0.2.0 — Browser Core v2 / 浏览器核心 v2

This release upgrades Omeety's browser layer into a durable Browser Core while
keeping the existing Native Host, extension, and all 31 legacy browser tools
compatible. It also includes the browser intelligence, terminal lifecycle, and
download improvements developed after v0.1.1.

本版本将 Omeety 的浏览器能力升级为可靠的 Browser Core，同时保持现有 Native
Host、扩展架构和全部 31 个旧版浏览器工具兼容；并包含 v0.1.1 之后完成的浏览器理解、
终端生命周期和持久化下载能力。

Highlights / 主要变化

• Seven high-level omeety_browser_* tools cover observe, query, action,
  transaction, wait, tab management, and runtime status.
• A Target/Frame registry recursively attaches CDP targets and combines DOM,
  accessibility, and frame topology across out-of-process iframes.
• Stale element references can recover through composite locators with bounded
  retry and ambiguity rejection; the controlled rerender fixture improves from
  0/100 to 100/100 successful stale-reference actions.
• Durable actions expose dispatched, applied, and committed completion,
  with document-epoch navigation checks and optional post-reload verification.
• Side-panel permissions separate read, act, and submit access. Browser Core
  health, latency, recovery, and redacted rotating audit data are observable.
• Browser suspension or delayed extension heartbeats no longer terminate live
  terminal sessions; ping/pong is now a health signal rather than a watchdog.
• Text matches are promoted to likely interactive parents, and compact query
  payloads reduce transfer work in large SPAs.
• Context Bundle, multi-element picking, incremental snapshots, persistent
  downloads, PTY recovery, inactive-tab renderer suspension, and the other
  v0.1.2-era improvements are included in this release.

Compatibility / 兼容性

• Existing MCP clients can continue using all 31 legacy browser tools.
• The release remains compatible with Windows 11 + Edge/Chrome and macOS +
  Chrome/Edge/Chromium through the existing platform installers.
• The downloadable offline bundle includes Host dependencies. Extract it, then
  run installer\install.ps1 on Windows or ./installer/install.sh on macOS.
  The macOS installer reuses those dependencies and prepares the quarantined
  node-pty binaries without contacting npm.

Verification / 验证

• Deterministic Host tests cover Browser Core policies, target/frame state,
  stale-reference recovery, audit redaction, runtime metrics, and compatibility.
• The extension runtime regression covers permission enforcement, high-level
  routing, OOPIF snapshot merging, durable actions, and legacy tools.
• A real Chromium/OOPIF regression is provided in
  _pwtest/test_browser_core_v2.mjs for headed browser verification.

Omeety Terminal v0.1.1 — macOS Chrome support

This patch release adds verified macOS + Google Chrome support while preserving all Windows features from v0.1.0.

本补丁版本在保留 v0.1.0 全部 Windows 功能的基础上，新增经过真机验证的 macOS + Google Chrome 支持。

• Homebrew and common CLI locations added to PATH.
• Automatic repair for the node-pty macOS spawn-helper executable bit.
• Documentation for the macOS Developer Tools permission required by node.

Install / 安装

macOS

1. Download and extract omeety-terminal-v0.1.1-macos.zip.
2. Install Node.js LTS.
3. In macOS Terminal or iTerm, run ./installer/install.sh.
4. If macOS asks whether node may use Developer Tools, choose Allow.
5. Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the extracted extension directory.

下载并解压 macOS 包，安装 Node.js LTS，在系统 Terminal 或 iTerm 中运行 ./installer/install.sh。如果系统询问是否允许 node 使用开发者工具，请选择“允许”。随后到 chrome://extensions 开启开发者模式并加载 extension 文件夹。

Windows

Download omeety-terminal-v0.1.1-windows.zip, extract it, and run:

• Extension runtime regression: passed.
• macOS zsh PTY: passed.
• Streamable HTTP and legacy SSE: passed.
• MCP tool list and relay: 28 tools, mock regression 9/9 passed.
• Release archives checked for integrity, executable permissions, versions, and excluded runtime/secrets.

Compatibility / 兼容性

• Verified: Windows 11 + Microsoft Edge; macOS + Google Chrome.
• Safari is not included because it requires a separate macOS container app and browser adapter.

Omeety Terminal v0.1.0 — First Public Beta

Omeety Terminal is a real local terminal in the Edge/Chrome side panel and an agent-neutral browser exoskeleton for Codex, Claude Code, Kimi Code, and other MCP-capable CLIs.

Omeety Terminal 是 Edge/Chrome 侧栏里的真实本地终端，也是面向 Codex、Claude Code、Kimi Code 及其他 MCP CLI 的 Agent 中立浏览器外骨骼。

Fix included in this release / 本次修复

Settings now switches shells through an atomic PTY restart. Saving or leaving Settings reliably restores the ⚙ icon, custom shell paths survive reloads, and failed shell spawns no longer emit a false connected state.

设置页面现在通过原子 PTY 重启切换 Shell；保存或退出后会可靠恢复 ⚙ 图标，自定义 Shell 路径在重载后不会丢失，Shell 启动失败也不会再同时显示虚假的已连接状态。

1. Download and extract omeety-terminal-v0.1.0-windows.zip.
2. Install Node.js LTS.

当前已在 Windows 11 + Microsoft Edge 验证。安装器也注册 Chrome，但实际覆盖较少；macOS/Linux 仍需要 Shell 适配。
