What's changed

  • Match Codex Desktop's Goal composer flow: the plus menu and /goal arm a removable Goal marker instead of opening an editor dialog.
  • Send the next composer text through the remote thread/goal/set API, including from a new task before a remote thread exists.
  • Clear the Goal marker after one submission, keep normal follow-up messages normal, and isolate the composer state when switching tasks.
  • Preserve and render Goal metadata on optimistic user entries, with clearer Goal-specific errors.
  • Expand device coverage for Goal activation, cancellation, slash commands, new tasks, task switching, Plan interaction, and consecutive submissions.

Verification

  • 13/13 Android device tests passed on an API 34 emulator.
  • Unit tests, Android Lint, Debug build, signed Release build, and Release cold-start smoke test passed.
  • Mock SSH end-to-end trace verified thread/start -> thread/goal/set for a new Goal, with no accidental turn/start.
  • APK Signature Scheme v2 verified; package version is 0.1.2 (3).
