This asks you a buncha questions about your trip then makes a REALLY long packing list
Run this like 2 days before your trip so you have time to buy missing stuff
Just double click pack.bat and answer the questions. It'll make a text file with all your stuff.
python3 pack.py- What kind of trip (beach, camping, skiing, city, family visit, school trip, sports tournament, music festival, other)
- How many days
- Where you're sleeping
- How you're getting there
- Will you swim
- Gonna hike or walk a lot
- Will it be cold/hot
- Any fancy dinners
- Bringing laptop/console/camera
- Allergies/meds
- Glasses/contacts
- Long hair
- Might rain
A text file with checkboxes for like 150+ items including:
- Clothes (with weather-specific stuff)
- Toiletries (the big section)
- Electronics (phone + other devices)
- Entertainment for travel time
- Important documents
- Bag stuff
- Food/snacks to bring
- Random useful things (duct tape, safety pins, etc)
- Activity-specific gear (beach, camping, skiing, sports)
- Night before checklist
- Last minute reminders
bc i forgot my charger once and had to buy a new one for $40 and my mom wasn't very happy
also i forgot deodorant on a school trip and that was embarrassing
- The list is LONG on purpose
- Some sections say "if applicable" so you can skip them if they dont apply
- The night before checklist is actually important
- If you forget something, you can probably buy it there. Except chargers (as you already know why).
- maybe add a GUI later (probably not tho)
- add more trip types if i think of them
