First release of Steam Controller Bridge: use the Steam Controller 2026 (Valve "Ibex") as a normal Android gamepad on Android TV, phones and tablets, no root needed. It works over USB, the wireless puck, or Bluetooth LE.
It's a fork of SonicDX12/SteamController-Android that adds a /dev/uhid backend for devices where /dev/uinput is closed to the shell user, most notably the NVIDIA Shield TV. The controller still shows up as a real Microsoft X-Box 360 pad input device.
Highlights
- Xbox 360 gamepad mode, plus a desktop mode that turns the controller into a mouse and keyboard
- Button remapping (back paddles and grips included), stick calibration, gyro aiming, rumble (uinput only)
- Game profiles that load automatically when you open the app they're bound to
- An optional accessibility helper that presses Shizuku's start button, which a TV remote can't reach
Install
- Install and start Shizuku
