Philosophy

KairoDB is more than just a database tool; it is a philosophy of software development.

1. Human-First

Software should be built for humans. We prioritize readability and simplicity over complexity and "enterprise" features. If a human can't understand the schema at a glance, it's too complex.

2. Minimal

We believe in the power of "enough." We don't add features just because we can. We add features because they solve a real problem for real developers.

3. Honest

No marketing hype. No "AI-powered synergy." Just solid engineering that works. We are transparent about what KairoDB can and cannot do.

4. Local-First

Development should happen where the developer is—locally. KairoDB encourages a workflow where your data structure lives in your repository, not behind a SaaS wall.

5. Git-Friendly

Database structures should be version-controlled just like your code. By using plain-text .kairo files, we make it easy to track changes, review PRs, and maintain a history of your data evolution.
