LodorOS release notes

0.9.5 (beta) — the Miyoo release · 2026-07-05

LodorOS now targets the Miyoo fleet: Mini Plus (miyoomini), A30 (my282), Flip V2 (my355). Anbernic H700 devices are served by Lodor for muOS; TrimUI by Lodor for NextUI — same engine, no CFW flash. The last all-platform build stays available as v0.9.4.1.

Highlights since 0.9.0: content-lineage save sync with RomM device attribution, on-device favorite/rating/status write-back, honest missing-BIOS launch errors (+ Download BIOS from your server), standalone N64/PSP on A30 + Flip V2, RetroAchievements + playtime + Game Switcher, cheats, per-game core override, multi-disc download, FAT32-atomic writes throughout, bounds-safety hardening. Bundled core licenses: CORE-LICENSES.txt in the zip.

LodorOS 0.9.0 (beta)

Your self-hosted RomM library, on your handheld. LodorOS is a MinUI fork that turns a retro handheld into a thin client for your RomM server — your whole collection appears in the menu as lightweight stubs with box art, games download on demand, and saves sync both ways. Wi-Fi-dark by default; nothing exposed to the open internet.

This is an early public release. Expect rough edges, and note it's a client for your own RomM server — not a plug-and-play "download games" OS. If you run (or want to run) RomM, this is for you.

The same download boots every supported device — each reads its own platform folder. TrimUI devices are served separately by the no-fork Lodor-NextUI tool, not this build.

What's in it

  • Whole-library browsing offline, with RomM box art
  • Download-on-launch (download → hash-verify → boot)
  • Two-way save sync around every play session, with server-side restore of older saves
  • Private server access: Tailscale (capable devices) or Cloudflare Access service token (any device, incl. the Mini Plus) or plain LAN
  • Native MinUI look and feel

See the wiki: Installation · Reaching your RomM server · RomM server setup. Short version: format a card FAT32, extract this zip onto it (H700 uses a two-card TF1/TF2 setup — see the wiki). BYOB.

Known limitations (0.9)

  • Requires a self-hosted RomM server. No server, no library.
  • Cloudflare Access onboarding is manual right now — the wizard captures a plain public URL but not the service-token headers, so CF Access is set up by editing config.json on the card (snippet in the wiki). A guided mode is planned.
  • Miyoo Mini Plus is Cloudflare-only — 128 MB RAM can't run Tailscale.
  • Heavy emulators (N64/Dreamcast/PSP) on the H700 run your device's stock Anbernic RetroArch — they need the stock firmware present, and quality depends on Anbernic's bundled cores. BYOB for BIOS-dependent systems (Dreamcast).
  • RGB30 and first-time H700 (TF1) setup: follow MinUI's base install for those devices — see the wiki.
  • No proprietary emulators are bundled (e.g. DraStic) — bring your own where you want them.
