Documentation correction for the v1.2.0 feature release.

  • Date the original feature release October 15, 2026 and replace incorrect candidate/unreleased presentation with released headings.
  • Package the corrected README/changelog as v1.2.1. Application behavior is unchanged apart from version declarations.
  • Preserve the immutable v1.2.0 tag and its original artifacts; those historical files still contain the old labels.

Validation: focused review, all nine GitHub checks and 24 local regression tests passed. Ruff, wheel and source builds passed. This ledger workflow does not run mypy. Fresh tag-built wheel/source installations and packaged-document checks are verified before publication. Anonymous downloads are hash-verified afterward. Independent review was static using existing test evidence.
