Compare two supplied drafts by unique chapter heading, with word, scene and dialogue-estimate deltas.

Duplicate and renamed headings remain unpaired review items. Dialogue share is a quote-based estimate, not a writing-quality score.

Changes

  • Preserve scene counts across LF, CRLF and CR drafts; reject malformed explicit comparison files.

  • Compare explicit drafts by unique chapter heading with word, scene and dialogue-estimate deltas.

  • Keep duplicate and renamed headings unpaired for author review.

  • Cover chapter measurements, scene markers and quote estimates with draft comparison regressions.

  • Keep backtick headings inside Markdown evidence fences.

Verification

Protected PR checks and merged-main CI/CodeQL passed. The tagged wheel and source distribution each passed all 18 regression tests. Package source was checked against the tag.
