The first release made for self-hosting, and the first under a licence (Apache 2.0).

Run the server or a relay without the desktop app

Linux / macOS

Each installs a per-user service and ends with a pairing code for your first client. The relay is also an image: ghcr.io/lohanidamodar/karmashala-relay:1.31.1. See the README's Self-hosting section.

Also new

  • Server bundles for macOS (Apple Silicon, Intel) and Windows, beside Linux.
  • A Linux AppImage beside the tarball.
  • The Android APK is signed with the release key.

The first public release of Karmashala — an agent development environment that runs Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity on your desktop, on a server, or both, and follows them from your phone.

What's in it

  • Agent sessions in embedded terminals or a chat view, in split, tabbed workbench groups that survive a restart. Sessions the CLIs started outside the app are imported.
  • An editor and file explorer across this machine, WSL distributions and SSH hosts.
  • A headless server (karmashala_host) that keeps sessions, automations and pairings; see server/README.md.
  • The phone app pairs over the LAN, through a relay or at an address, with every frame sealed end to end.
  • An MCP server of about 85 tools for the agents, plus checkpoints, fan-out, verification, devices, browser automation and a read-only view of your App Store and Play apps.
