Release list
v0.86.0 - lighter archive, Critical and High filters
A lighter archive. Measured on a real installation (about 140 notifications a day): a notification
is about 5.7 KB in full and 1 KB as a summary; 40 full notifications covered the last 2-3 hours.
Changed
- archive (0.42.0): the list is read with
enquire_archiveverbosity: summary(SuperNotify
2.12.1+), 150 notifications by default (limit, up to 500) - about a day, for less than the 40
full documents of before. Only the 20 newest are read in full; any other notification is read in
full when opened, and its row is then drawn from it. With an older SuperNotify the list islimit
full documents, as before. - overview (0.38.0): "channel failures today" from the daily totals of today (
verbosity: daily, a few
KB); it counted the last 40 notifications only. - recipients (0.31.0): the last notification of each person from the light list.
Added
- archive: Critical and High filters over the whole archive (31 days), with their
counts; shown when there is at least one (priority_filters: falsehides them). How many per day
comes fromverbosity: daily(shared with the stats card), then only the days that have some are
read, and kept in the browser.
v0.85.0 - archive and why in one card
The notification history and its "why" in one card (archive 0.41.0).
Changed
- supernotify-archive-card: list on the left, the detail of the notification you tap on the
right (one under the other when the card is narrow). The detail is the one of the why card:
call, scenarios, people, every channel with why it went out or not, problems first with what to
do, folded routine skips and channels not involved, the trace; plus a verdict on top ("Arrived
on 3 channels of 4 · Telegram failed") and the pause bar at the bottom. - List: one line per notification with a status mark (✔ arrived, ! failed or worth a look, ⊘ went
out on no channel) and one line saying how it went, instead of one pill per channel; priority
only when not medium; repeats of the same notification in a row folded into "×N" (tap to open,
group_repeats: falseto turn off); filters with their counts; today's summary on top; "?" opens
how to read the card (the long intro is no longer needed). - supernotify-why-card (0.16.0) is now an alias of the archive card: existing dashboards keep
working. It is no longer offered in the card picker, and the dashboard strategy no longer adds it
to Send.snWhyOpen()(recipients, control, overview "Why ›") opens the notification in the
archive card. - With the sensor bridge and no detail service, the detail shows what the index row knows (channels
with outcome and reason, scenarios, counts). tools/showcase.mjs: archive shot 1100 px wide, why shot in a 460 px column;SN_CHROMIUMto use a
local Chromium.
Upgrade note: dashboards that have custom:supernotify-why-card keep working (it is now the same card). On a view that already has the archive card you can remove the why card.
v0.84.0
Dashboard strategy: view tabs show an mdi icon and the view name again (show_icon_and_title, Home Assistant 2026.2+; older versions keep the name only). New options tabs: icons | emoji | text (default icons) and icons: {view: mdi:xxx | emoji}. README example dashboard uses show_icon_and_title. See CHANGELOG.
v0.83.0
v0.82.0
v0.81.0 - pause by sender
archive-card: with pause_sender: true the pause bar also offers the automation or script that sent the notification, so almost every notification can be paused. Needs SuperNotify with rhizomatics/supernotify#270. See CHANGELOG.md.
v0.80.0 - pause one notification
archive-card: open a row and pause notifications about that entity (30 min / 1 h / 4 h / 24 h, for everyone or only for me) through SuperNotify's tag snooze; already paused shows until when + Resume. Needs entity_id in the call's data (or a camera); never offered for critical notifications. Fix: a fresh pause no longer reads as already over when HA's clock runs ahead of the browser. See CHANGELOG.md.
v0.79.0 - why: duplicates explained
why-card: a notification dropped as a duplicate shows when the same text went out and how many seconds earlier, with a link to the original; when both came from the same automation/script run it names it (that run calls SuperNotify twice with the same text). Also: 'duplicate' once in the header, spoken text only when different, skipped group with its reasons, 'target required' only for a missing target.
v0.78.0 - scenarios: what they do and why
scenarios-card: each row says what the scenario does and why, without a tap - the volume it sets on each channel (muted / vol N%, templates rendered now by Home Assistant), other options and targets, its conditions with their result (nested and/or spelled out, input_datetime by name), and a warning when another active scenario turns the same channel off (the off wins) or the channel is switched off. overview-card: active scenario chips add what they silence or turn down, conditions as tooltip.
