  • finally upgrade Gerbil's Electron dependency to latest v40. Note that this upgrade includes several major releases of Chromium amongst many other Electron improvements and fixes.
  • minor dependency upgrades

Note: users that are using KDE + Wayland are now required to follow the following guide if they want Gerbil's system theme to continue to sync correctly during runtime. This is now required to workaround a Chromium issue that Google has been dragging their feet on for months and that has kept this app's electron version locked to an older version.

The specific commands required on KDE + Wayland now is:

echo -e "[preferred]\ndefault=gtk" > ~/.config/xdg-desktop-portal/portals.conf
