Is it possible to rename a folder?

I have tried to use the move method to rename a folder but I get an Exception:

Exception in thread "main" com.github.sardine.impl.SardineException: Unexpected response (400 Bad Request)

sardine.move("http://xxxx/fish/", "http://xxxx/monkey/");

Is folder renaming not supported?

I guess I should have been more clear. I'm looking for the logs where the error is. What you've provided is the "access log" that shows a 400 is being returned, but what need to dig into is the "why" 400 is being returned. Something in the MIIS 10.0 server is returning the 400 and we need to figure out what that is. There is probably an "error log" somewhere.

My instinct is that this is a server configuration issue somewhere and really has nothing to do with Sardine itself. Sardine is just a client making requests, so what you really want to look into is why the server is not accepting that request and returning 400.

One question, you're creating a directory. Do you see the directory on the filesystem on the server? If not, then the error is with the creation of the directory, not in the move. I'm also not sure if webdav supports moving (sardine.move) from one server to another. You've xxxx'd out the second server, but not the first. Just want to be clear on that as well.

Hi thanks a lot - Your answer let me to the solution. First having trouble enabling "Failed Request Tracing" on IIS 10. But then the error was clear (did a normal copy of a file):

So I have an appache httpd in front of the IIS that didn't preserve the host header. Now it does, and it works :-)

I once worked with someone who insisted on putting Apache httpd in front of Tomcat, even though we’d been running a very high-traffic site successfully for years without any issues. We went back and forth on it for hours. My position was simple: it added another layer of complexity without a clear benefit. He couldn’t tell me any advantage that justified the added complexity, and in the end, the argument died off.

It's in front of multiple web servers and services, that I all need to access on port 80. But your're absolutely right it comes with a cost.
