Release list
Orrery 1.0.0-alpha.1
Note
This is the first alpha release of Orrery — an early build for testing.
Orrery is a host-synced generative MIDI sequencer: eight voices of eight lanes each, every lane
cycling its own window of values at its own length, so the lanes phase against one another. Nothing is
random at playback — what you draw is what plays.
Installing
- Install the Cmajor plugin (VST3 / AU) from cmajor.dev and add it to a track in
your DAW. - Download
Orrery-1.0.0-alpha.1.zipbelow and unzip it somewhere permanent. - Drag
Orrery.cmajorpatchfrom the unzippedOrreryfolder onto the Cmajor plugin window.
Keep the files in the Orrery folder together — the patch loads its editor, styles and fonts from
there.
Playing
- Orrery follows your host's transport: press play in your DAW and it plays along in sync.
- It produces MIDI only. Route the Cmajor plugin's MIDI output to an instrument track — how that works
depends on your DAW. - The Scene parameter switches between the eight scenes and can be automated from your DAW.
- Your patterns are saved with your DAW project.
