DiscMate 0.3.9
DiscMate 0.3.9 adds clipboard import for data discs. Copy local files or folders in Finder, or copy plain text, then press ⌘V or click “从剪贴板添加”. Plain text becomes a temporary TXT file (up to 1 MiB). Files and folders can also be dragged into the pending list. Adding content does not write to the disc; review the append summary before confirming a burn.
On one DVD+R using ISO 9660/Joliet, a three-file incremental append in 0.3.9 completed automatic ejection. After reinsertion, all three new files matched their preburn SHA-256 values through direct optical readback and matched both MD5 and SHA-256 through DiscMate's read-only latest-session mount. Seven older file directory entries and extents were preserved; their payloads were not rehashed in this run. The disc still reported appendable.
Known limitation: an earlier clipboard-text append on the same test disc stalled during session close. The recorded bytes were recovered and matched their source; the user then authorized a separate nonfinal session-close command, after which the disc reported appendable. Its underlying cause is unknown, and one later successful append does not establish long-term completion reliability. Latest-session viewing may require DiscMate's read-only mount rather than macOS's default mount. Equivalent append/readback testing has not been completed for other CD, DVD or Blu-ray formats.
Build: 2026101901, Apple Silicon (arm64), macOS 13 or newer. This ZIP is ad hoc signed and is not Apple notarized. Verify the source and ZIP checksum; if Gatekeeper blocks first launch, use the per-app option in System Settings rather than disabling system protection.
DiscMate 0.3.8
DiscMate 0.3.8 adds incremental folder append, clearer pre-burn checks and prompts, and paged diagnostic previews for large task reports.
It also shortens the empty-tray completion confirmation to 2 seconds and prevents a later fallback eject after media returns. On one DVD+R, a folder append was read back after reinsertion; a separate small-file burn completed and unlocked in about 3 seconds, and reinsertion produced no second eject request. The new file's SHA-256 matched its source.
Known limits: DVD+R with ISO 9660/Joliet is the only medium validated for append on this Mac. The 2-second immediate-reinsertion branch has offline coverage but no physical-drive test yet. Long-term automatic-eject reliability and other disc formats remain unverified. The app uses ad hoc signing, not Apple notarization. See the README for supported folder names, depth and item limits, and latest-session access.

DiscMate 0.3.7
- Add an always visible Verify after burning checkbox to the Data Disc file section. It is off by default and can be set before inserting a disc. Hover help and an information popover explain its scope and added time.
- Apply the selection to initial data DVD+R burns and incremental appends. Diagnostics distinguish the requested setting, the setting accepted by DiscRecording, and an observed verification phase. Completion text does not equate system verification with independent file readback.
- Update append summaries, confirmation text, and time estimates to reflect the selection.
On one test DVD+R, two small appends were performed with the option off and on. The system verification phase was observed only for the enabled run. After reinsertion, both new files matched their source SHA-256 hashes through independent direct readback; the app also read all four files in the latest session.
Known limitations: Open Latest Content in Finder failed during this test because macOS did not recognize the disc as an ISO file system. The initial-burn checkbox path has not been retested on disc. Other DVD formats, CD, and Blu-ray have not received equivalent testing. Automatic completion and ejection still need continued observation.
Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 13 or later. The archive is ad hoc signed and is not notarized by Apple.

DiscMate 0.3.6
This preview release improves the data DVD+R append workflow, drive lifecycle handling, and diagnostic logging. It adds a main-window flow for first data burns, device change and recovery handling, selectable burn speeds where supported, and an in-app export of redacted task diagnostics.
On an Apple Silicon Mac with a Lenovo Ultraslim DVD drive and an ISO/Joliet DVD+R, the final append test added a fourth session without rewriting the three existing file extents. The tray physically ejected after the burn. After reinsertion, the new file matched its source SHA-256, all four files were readable, and the app-assisted latest-session mount displayed all four in Finder. The isolated public source passed offline tests; the arm64 archive passed version and strict signature checks.
Supported append scope remains ISO/Joliet root-level files on appendable data DVD+R. Automatic completion has had intermittent failures in earlier runs, and the fallback eject path was not exercised by this final burn. Other disc types and filesystems have not received equivalent hardware validation. Finder's default mount may show an older session; use the app's latest-session action. The archive is ad hoc signed and is not notarized by Apple.

- Make the whole heading row of Optional Readback Verification and More Tools & Diagnostics clickable, including the title, chevron, and empty space. Keyboard and accessibility activation remain available.
- Replace the section container that caused Computer Use accessibility inspection to crash on this Mac. This has been checked against a minimal reproduction and in the DiscMate window.
- Clarify the device recovery and readback instructions in the public README.
Offline tests, an Apple Silicon build, archive extraction, and strict code signature verification passed. No disc was written for this release. The previously observed intermittent drive completion and ejection issue remains under investigation; a system burn result alone does not confirm ejection or independent data readback.
Supported append scope remains data DVD+R with ISO/Joliet root-level files. The archive is ad hoc signed and is not notarized by Apple. Follow the README for installation and macOS first-open instructions.

- After a burn reports Done, keep observing the same drive when its status briefly disappears. Clear stale tray observations and require a fresh, stable result before reporting completion.
- If completion cannot be confirmed, offer an in-app Recheck Device action after the prior task has ended. Preserve the source manifest for independent readback.
- Show the recovery state and waiting reason in the interface and Help menu. Keep the fallback eject limited to an idle, identified drive.
Offline recovery, completion and ISO readback tests pass. The Apple Silicon app builds and launches locally. Automatic completion remains under hardware validation; a successful system write/verify result alone does not certify ejection or independent file readback.
Supported append scope remains data DVD+R with ISO/Joliet root-level files. The archive is ad hoc signed and is not notarized by Apple. Follow the README for installation and macOS first-open instructions.

DiscMate 0.3.3
DiscMate 0.3.3 is an experimental Apple Silicon build for macOS 13 or later.
- Shows “Keep appendable” only after identifying a blank disc. It controls whether that first burn leaves room for later sessions.
- When no disc is detected, explains that the user should insert a disc and refresh; the append review control appears only for an identified data disc.
- Includes the 0.3.2 automatic disc refresh after file selection and the 0.3.1 in-app Help and existing-file list.
This archive is ad hoc signed and has not been notarized by Apple. On first launch, macOS may require a per-app “Open Anyway” approval in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Automatic eject and latest-session mounting still have documented limitations.
