This release is not yet signed with an Apple Developer ID or a Windows certificate, so both systems warn before the first launch. That is expected; nothing else about the app changes. Every launch after the first is normal. On Windows, 0.1.2 and later update themselves; on a Mac, the app tells you a new version exists and brings you here.

What changed since 0.1.2

• The plan descriptions inside the app now say exactly what each plan includes, matching the website.
• Pro and Business customers can find the support address in Settings, under Your plan.
• Reopening a finished job shows the "Repeat it" offer again, so you can set up a repeat later, not only right after the job.
• Windows: the uninstaller now removes its own folder.

First open on macOS

1. Open the DMG, drag ChromeBoost into Applications, then open it from Applications. macOS says "Apple could not verify ChromeBoost is free of malware" and offers Move to Trash or Done. Click Done.
2. Open System Settings.
3. Click Privacy & Security.
4. Scroll down to the Security section.
5. Click Open Anyway next to the line about ChromeBoost.
6. Click Open Anyway again in the dialog that follows and enter your Mac password (or use Touch ID). ChromeBoost opens and macOS will not ask again.

The Open Anyway button disappears after about an hour. If it is not there, go back to step 1 and it comes back.

If you are comfortable in Terminal, this one line does the same thing: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/ChromeBoost.app

First open on Windows

1. Run ChromeBoost-windows-setup.exe. SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC".
2. Click More info.
3. Click Run anyway. When the installer asks, "Only for me" installs without an admin prompt.

What changed since 0.1.1

• Every job now has its own folder inside ChromeBoost Files, named after what you asked for. Files the assistant makes land there, and a Files bar above the conversation lists them with Open, Show in folder and Open folder. Deleting a job keeps the files it made.
• Installing the browser extension is now obvious: the banner offers "Get the extension" (opens the Chrome Web Store in Chrome), Settings has a Browser section with the link status and the three steps, and the status pill in the title bar opens it.
• Windows: fixes for the crash at the end of sign-in, the notification that was titled "electron.app.chromeboost", Stop not working while an approval was waiting, the light strip behind the window buttons in dark mode, and stray escape codes in the sign-in panel. The app now writes a short log of what it did and keeps local crash reports (nothing is uploaded).
• "Remove all ChromeBoost data" now empties the whole data folder.
• A stray one-second drop in the browser link no longer flashes the warning banner.

• First Windows build. It was produced and checked on a Mac and has not yet been run on a Windows machine; if something is off, please open an issue.
• Settings is now two tabs, "How it works" and "Plan and repeats", instead of one long sheet.
• "Remove all ChromeBoost data" in Settings deletes everything the app stored on this computer and quits.
• "Check for updates" in Settings, next to the version number.
• Setting up a repeat shows exactly what will run and when, in your own clock format, before you save it, and tells you up front if repeats are part of a paid plan.
• The status pill says "browser not linked" instead of "no extension".
