@eventuras/vite-config@0.5.0

Minor Changes

  • af8bfca: Emit type declarations from the presets again, with the TypeScript compiler the package already has.

    0.4.0 dropped vite-plugin-dts, because it needs the JavaScript Compiler API that TypeScript 7 no longer ships, and asked every consumer to add tsc --emitDeclarationOnly to its build script. That moved four things onto each consumer: where outDir resolves, keeping test files out of the emit, path aliases that tsc leaves as @/…, and types that stop updating in watch mode.

    The presets now run the consumer's own tsc as a command (so TypeScript 6 and 7 both work) after the Vite build, and:

    • put the declarations in Vite's outDir, laid out from the library's entry root, next to the JavaScript;
    • always leave out *.test.*, *.spec.*, *.stories.*, __tests__ and __mocks__, on top of the tsconfig's own exclude;
    • rewrite path aliases from resolve.alias (such as the @/ alias the React preset sets) to relative imports in the emitted .d.ts;
    • re-emit on every rebuild under vite build --watch;
    • fail the build when tsc reports errors.

    Migrating from 0.4: remove && tsc --emitDeclarationOnly from the package's build script (and a tsconfig.build.json that only existed to exclude tests). vite build is enough again. Keep typescript as a devDependency: it is what emits the declarations, and is now declared as an optional peer (>=5.5).

    New option: dts on every preset, true by default. dts: false skips the emit; { tsconfig, entryRoot, include, exclude } tunes it. The plugin is also exported on its own from @eventuras/vite-config/dts, for configs that do not use a preset.

Patch Changes

  • 7e6dff1: Errors logged under error keep their message and stack. Pino serialized an Error only under err, so logger.error(err) and logger.error({ error }) wrote "error":{}; the Pino transport now serializes error the same way.

Patch Changes

  • c9b0d3d: Resolve include and exclude against the consuming package (${configDir}/…), as 1.1.0 did for outDir.

    Relative paths in an extended config resolve next to the file that declares them, so the shared src/**/* include pointed into this package, and a consumer without its own include failed with TS18003: No inputs were found. The test and story excludes in base.json had the same problem and never applied to consumers.

@eventuras/eslint-config@1.0.6

Patch Changes

  • 18da6e4: Update dependencies:

    • typescript: (none) → npm:@typescript/typescript6@^6.0.2
  • d1b1173: Keep linting working in projects on TypeScript 7.

    typescript-eslint 8 needs the TypeScript JavaScript Compiler API and refuses to load
    when it finds TypeScript 7, which no longer ships it. The config now depends on
    @typescript/typescript6 under the name typescript, so typescript-eslint resolves the
    TypeScript 6 API from here regardless of the TypeScript version the project compiles with.

Minor Changes

  • 7f9e1d6: Stop emitting type declarations from the presets, so consumers can move to TypeScript 7.

    defineVanillaLibConfig and defineReactLibConfig (and defineNextLibConfig through it)
    always added vite-plugin-dts, which needs the TypeScript JavaScript Compiler API.
    TypeScript 7 no longer ships it, so every consumer that emits declarations failed to
    build on the upgrade (#19).

    The presets now build JavaScript only, and vite-plugin-dts is no longer a dependency.
    Emit declarations with the compiler the package already has, after the Vite build:

    "build": "vite build && tsc --emitDeclarationOnly"

    This works on TypeScript 6 and 7. Consumers carrying @typescript/typescript6 as a
    workaround can drop it.

    Breaking: the dts option (entryRoot, outDir, rollupTypes) is removed from
    ReactLibConfig and NextLibConfig. tsc does not rewrite @/… path aliases in emitted
    declarations; use relative imports in anything reachable from a public export.

Minor Changes

  • 7f9e1d6: Resolve outDir in library.json, react-library.json and node.json against the
    consuming package (${configDir}/dist) instead of this package's own directory.

    A relative outDir in an extended config resolves next to the file that declares it,
    so tsc in a consuming package wrote into node_modules/@eventuras/typescript-config/dist
    unless the package set outDir itself. Requires TypeScript 5.5 or later.

Patch Changes

  • 7f9e1d6: Emit type declarations with tsc instead of vite-plugin-dts. The declarations now keep
    JSDoc comments and import type; @eventuras/core no longer ships an unreferenced
    useragents/patterns.json.d.ts.
