Straighten and crop scanned ID-1 cards in Paint.NET: auto-detect, deskew, rounded corners, transparent background. A single self-contained DLL.

It is a port of the GIMP 3 plug-in card-crop to Paint.NET; the detection geometry is identical.

Install

Requires Paint.NET 5.1 or later (Windows). Download CardCropEffect.dll below and copy it into Paint.NET's Effects folder:

  • Installed: Documents\paint.net App Files\Effects\
  • Portable: an Effects\ folder next to paintdotnet.exe

Restart Paint.NET. Two commands appear under Effects > Card Tools: Crop Card (one click) and Crop Card (with report) (reports what was detected).
