v0.3.0: Server command for local execution from Codespaces
New Features
Local Command Execution from Codespaces
Execute commands on your local machine from inside a Codespace. This is useful for cross-repo operations where the Codespace token lacks access.
# On local machine: start the server
gh csd service install # Install as launchd service (starts on boot)
# Connect to Codespace
gh csd ssh
# Inside Codespace: run commands using local credentials
gh csd local gh pr create -R github/other-repo --title "My PR"
gh csd local gh issue create -R github/another-repo --title "Bug report"New Commands
gh csd server start/stop/socket- Run a local daemon for remote command executiongh csd local <command>- Execute commands on your local machine from a Codespacegh csd service install/uninstall/start/stop/status- Manage gh-csd as a launchd service
Fixes
- rdm forwarding: Now correctly uses TCP port 7391 as rdm was designed
- Socket paths: Use
~/.csd/csd.socketinstead of hardcoded/home/linuxbrewpath - PATH resolution: Commands work correctly when running as launchd service
Security
- Only
ghcommands are allowed by default for security - Commands are executed via Unix socket (forwarded through SSH)
