Releases: ludufre/sd2snes
v2.12.1 (sd2snes v1.11.2)
What's New
In-game Cheat Menu [beta]
You can now open a cheat menu over the running game, so you can toggle codes on and off without resetting.
While playing, hold L + R + Y + Left to pause the game and open the overlay:
- Up/Down moves the cursor.
- A toggles the highlighted code on or off.
- B closes the overlay and applies your changes to the running game.
It is enabled by default. You can turn it off in Configuration → In-game Settings → In-game hook → Cheat menu.
Tip
The sd2snes Covers app can also download each game's cheats automatically.
Note
Current limitations:
- Only the first 64 cheats are listed.
- Changes made in the overlay are not saved to the
.ymlfile. They only apply to the current play session. - Like savestates, it does not work with Special Chip games (SA-1, SuperFX, etc.).
- The layout is still rough and is a work in progress.
Favorites Improvements
Note
This feature has been fixed in this new release for Mk.II hardware.
- Keep up to 20 favorite games instead of 10.
- Sort your Favorites alphabetically with a new On/Off switch under
Options -> Sort favorites:- turn it on to show the list in A-Z order;
- turn it off to go back to the order you added them in. Nothing is lost either way.
- Box art, launching, and removing always follow the game you have highlighted.
- The Favorites list now scrolls: long lists used to run off the bottom of
the screen. Now you can scroll through all of them. - "Favorites full" message: if you try to add a game when the list is
already full (20), you will get a clear heads-up instead of nothing happening.
Fixes
- Hide cover when fast scrolling
v2.12 (sd2snes v1.11.2)
Caution
This version contains a bug in the Favorites list on Mk.II (Spartan 3) hardware.
Please update to v2.12.1 or later.
