Nio v0.1.240
Nio v0.1.240
Connected apps describe tasks in words, and Nio asks before more kinds of
commands.
What changed
-
Connected apps describe tasks in words. Through
nio connect, a connected
app (ChatGPT, Claude, an API agent) sends Nio a task in plain words. Text
starting with/is not run as a Nio command. Nio's own commands are for
you at your computer. -
More commands ask first. Nio asks before running these:
- downloads that send data, such as a form, a file or a request body
- commands written so their words can't be read, such as encoded commands
- commands inside
cmd /c,sh -corpowershell -Command, when the inner
command would ask on its own
Checking your own app on this machine, for example
curl http://localhost:3000, still runs without asking. -
Folders outside the project. A command that names a folder through a
variable, such as$env:APPDATAor%TEMP%, now counts as reaching outside
the project, the same as a full path. -
Read-only mode stays read-only. Read-only mode now refuses search and
git options that start another program or write a file.git branchonly
lists branches.
