v1.2

What's new in v1.2

✨ New feature

  • Optional user label — run a scheduled job as a specific user inside the target container (like docker exec --user). Add scheduler.<job>.user: "www-data" alongside the job's schedule and command; when omitted, the container's default user is used. (#3)

🐛 Bug fixes

  • Event watcher fixed for modern Docker — the container ID is now read from Actor.ID instead of the legacy top-level id field that recent Docker releases no longer emit. Previously, container start/stop/update events were silently ignored (new containers weren't picked up and jobs kept firing for stopped containers); live label re-evaluation works again. (#4)
  • Hardened event parsing so an event without an Actor field can no longer crash the watcher thread. (#4)

🙏 Thanks

Both changes were contributed by @onavas33.

v1.1

@lukaskaplan lukaskaplan released this 03 Mar 21:37
c39fcc0

Changes:

  • Remote Docker host support — replaced hardcoded unix://var/run/docker.sock with docker.from_env(), which reads DOCKER_HOST, DOCKER_TLS_VERIFY and DOCKER_CERT_PATH environment variables automatically. Local socket remains the default when DOCKER_HOST is not set.
  • Python 3.14 — updated Dockerfile base image to Python 3.14.

Bug fixes:

  • fixed crash in watch_events when a Docker event had no container id field (TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable).
