Lumenveil 0.1.1
For antivirus programs that warned about 0.1.0 (Microsoft Defender: Trojan:Win32/Tecabans.STV!cl, a false positive). Nothing changes in the game.

Checking a download
GitHub Actions built these files from the source at this tag, and GitHub signed a record of the build. With the GitHub CLI:
gh attestation verify Lumenveil-0.1.1.zip --repo lumenveil/Lumenveil
The same works for version.dll, CoAVolFog.dll and Lumenveil\lamp_extract.exe from the zip. Or compare the files with SHA256SUMS.txt. If your antivirus warns about them, see Antivirus warnings.
Lumenveil 0.1.0
The first public release.
Lumenveil adds volumetric fog, sun and moon shafts, lamp and window light at night, light from spells, livelier water and a tuned look for 37 zones to the World of Warcraft 3.3.5a client (build 12340). It doesn't include or change any game file.
Install
- Close the game.
- Drag everything in
Lumenveil-0.1.0.zipinto the folder that holdsWow.exe. - Double-click
Lumenveil-Setup.cmdonce. It reads your own game archives and writes the lamp and water data next toWow.exe. This takes one to five minutes. - Start the game. Ctrl+F12 switches Lumenveil off and on, and Ctrl+F7 opens its settings.
INSTALL.md has the details, along with uninstalling and use with DXVK, ReShade and texture packs. TROUBLESHOOTING.md covers the frame rate and memory.
Good to know
- The effects are heavy on the graphics card. TROUBLESHOOTING.md lists what to turn down.
- The DLLs and the setup tool aren't signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn the first time. Check the files against
SHA256SUMS.txt, or build them yourself (BUILDING.md). - Some servers don't allow changes to the client. Read the rules of the server you play on first.
