  • Added: a "Dismiss" button on the "automatic updates ran" admin notice, so it no longer has to wait out its one-week transient expiry to disappear. Dismissing clears the notice site-wide.
  • Fixed: the settings page's own match indicator and the persistent admin notice used to disagree about whether the domain pattern matched — the notice applied a wp_get_environment_type() !== 'production' check that the settings page's diagnostic display didn't have. Both now read from a single compute_control_status() source of truth and always report the same reason.
  • Added: an "Ignore WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE" setting (off by default) to let the domain-pattern match take effect even when wp_get_environment_type() is not production.
  • Changed (breaking change — please read): control_auto_update_plugin() / control_auto_update_theme() used to return $update unchanged for plugins/themes not on the exclusion list; when that value was null, WordPress core treated it as "not forced" and silently fell back to the per-item toggle, so forced auto-updates never actually took effect on a matching domain. A new "Force auto-updates for everything except the exclusion list" setting (on by default) now forces those items on. If you relied on the per-item toggle being respected, turn this setting off to restore the 1.9.1 behavior.
  • Fixed: the automatic-update column in the Plugins/Themes list disappeared whenever no domain pattern was configured yet, contradicting the 1.7.0 fail-safe that's supposed to defer entirely to WordPress's own defaults until a pattern is set.
  • Fixed: when FAUC_PRODUCTION_DOMAIN is defined, the domain-pattern textarea is rendered disabled without a name attribute, so it was never submitted with the settings form. WordPress's options.php then saved a null value, silently clearing the saved domain pattern on every visit to the settings page. A hidden field now round-trips the existing value so it survives saving.
