I reach for the simplest mechanism that solves the problem. Server-rendered HTML over client-side rendering. Direct file copies over layers of abstraction. Zero external dependencies when a project collects customer data — every CDN script is third-party code running on the client's domain with access to their forms.

It isn't purism. It's what still works three years later without maintenance, and what I can justify to a client line by line when they ask why.

Personal account since 2014. Most of my work is client-delivered and can't be published, and for years what I did version lived in company and client repositories.
