mcpx now keeps its daemon and MCP stdio servers alive when Agent or another shell runner cleans up the calling command's process group. Subsequent calls reuse the warm connections until the normal keep-alive expires.
- Start the daemon in its own session with detached standard streams.
- Add regression coverage that verifies daemon and MCP server reuse after caller process-group cleanup.
- Include the Go toolchain, OAuth2, and x/sys dependency updates merged since v1.2.0.
No breaking changes or migration steps.
Validation: Go tests, vet, build, the core and extended QA matrices, and the pinned MCP tools-call conformance gate passed.
Update through Homebrew, npm, or PyPI:
brew update && brew upgrade --cask mcpx
npm install --global mcpx-go@1.2.1
python3 -m pip install --upgrade mcpx-go==1.2.1Verify with mcpx --version.
Existing packaging limitation, also present in v1.2.0: archives store the man page at man/man1 instead of man/man1/mcpx.1, so automatic man-page installation is skipped.
