Capso 1.2.0
A big polish release: new annotation tools, smoother recording zoom, safer recordings, and more control over Quick Access and pins.
Annotation
- Arrow styles: filled, double-headed and tapered arrows. (#323)
- Spotlight tool (G): dim everything outside the areas you choose. (#324)
- Blur redaction is now irreversible — the area is pixelated before it is blurred. (#325)
- The canvas grows to hold annotations drawn past the edge of the image. (#328)
- Style presets: save the current tool and style and reapply it in one click. (#329)
Recording
- Recordings are recovered if Capso quits while recording. (#306)
- Recording stops cleanly before the disk fills up. (#307)
- A warning appears when the microphone is muted or audio stops during a recording. (#308)
- Smoother zoom transitions; follow-cursor zoom holds steady and pans only when the cursor settles somewhere new; auto-zoom picks up click bursts and typing. (#310, #311, #312)
- The smoothed cursor no longer trails the real one, fades out while the mouse is idle, and shows a click ripple. (#313, #314, #315, #320)
- Hide desktop icons from the menu bar, automation URLs, or automatically while recording. (#318)
Capture, Quick Access and pins
- Scrolling capture no longer skips content, mis-stitches upward scrolls or repeats sticky footers. (#309)
- Help taking over ⇧⌘3 / ⇧⌘4 / ⇧⌘5 from the macOS screenshot tool. (#317)
- Quick Access waits while hovered and closes after its file is dropped; new menu items to save all, close all, and reopen the last closed screenshot. (#321, #327)
- Hide and show all pinned screenshots at once; a locked pin fades away while the pointer is over it. (#322, #326)
- Optionally copy the share link as soon as an upload starts. (#319)
- Capso asks once before letting other apps control it via URL. (#316)
