Release list
ProtoPuddle++ 0.6.0 windows x64
A short description of this release
This release has many improvements. I did a speed of simulation as fast as possible. A rendering still slow, because ProtoPuddle++ continues to use a GDI+ subsystem for visualization, but you can disable and enable the drawing during runtime process.
List of main improvements:
- fast memory management through a custom memory allocator
- option for switch on/off drawing the world
- option for switch on/off antialiasing
- documentation in english (draft) and russian languages
Enjoy!
ProtoPuddle++ 0.5.2 windows x64
A short description of this release
A new rendering with anti-aliasing was added. And I had found a problem with a performance. It will be fixed in next release. But now an optimization isn't so bad as in a previous version. Try it and enjoy.
ProtoPuddle++ 0.5.1 windows x64
A short description of this release
In this version a genetic algorithm was improved. At first, a mutation probability can't be higher than 50%. Second, if a cell mutate it changes only one aspect of its behavior (in previous version a whole gene does mutate). So, cell's behavior algorithm becomes more natural.
Enjoy!
ProtoPuddle++ 0.5.0 windows x64
A short description of this release
It is a very early release. A basic algorithm is workable, but it isn't final. I don't want to add genes of reaction on a pain like it does the original ProtoPuddle. This isn't change anything I think. At now a cell has one behavior gene (a parameter "quantity of behavior genes" doesn't change anything ) and it simply freeze if another cell attack its. If the gene mutate during division then it changes whole.
I have a plan, I want to realize an embedded description that describe a cell's algorithm and simulation's parameters.
You can download a binary version for Windows 64bit. If you want to run this program on Linux, please, build it by yourself. For building you need wxWidgets 3.1.3 (view Readme file) and you must modify CmakeLists.txt file a little bit.
Enjoy!
