[user guide] What is Fresco?

Fresco is image processing tool (such as Gimp, Photoshop), which solves these problems:

• Registration of images - for images with the same scene. One image is transformed (perspective transformation) so that has the same size and the edges of the same objects correspond on both images
• Difference mesurement and visualization - Images can be compared in sense of normalized light intensity or mutual information. And visualized in blending panel.
• Basic image processing algorithms - gaussian smooth, canny edge detector, principal component analysis
