This release improves layout and its options:

  • Responsive behavior improved: previously only buttons with icons would scale well, buttons with text did not. Color buttons would only scale horizontally, never vertically. Both issues are addressed in this release.
  • Added the ability to individually hide Volume and Channel controls
  • Added the ability to individually hide Media and DVR controls (buttons exclusive to the X2)
  • And most importantly: Layouts per Activity are now supported:
    • Whenever the Activity on the hub changes, so can the layout of the Virtual Remote: you decide which buttons and the order in which they're layed out. A tiny animation transitions from one layout to another.
    • When the Dashboard is in Edit Mode, or the Visual Configuration editor is opened, the card's preview no longer reflects the actual state of the hub. Instead it shows the remote's layout for the given Activity, with all buttons enabled. Your macros and favorites will often not be visible in the card's preview. Exit Edit Mode to return the card to its "live" state.
  • Documentation updated to reflect changes.
