Versions and Upgrading
Every release has a tag vX.Y.Z and a GitHub Release whose notes are its changelog entry. The full record, with the reason for each change, is the skill's changelog. Dates are the GitHub Release dates in UTC.

The current version is 0.9.0, the same commit as master on 2026-10-03.

checkis stricter. 0.7.2 made a first heading that repeats the page title an error, so a wiki that passed before can fail. Delete the heading and start the page with its first paragraph. Five earlier wikis were fixed the same way when it shipped. -
snippetsand older npm scripts. A verification script saved before 0.7.1 runs its cases as its own code, sosnippetsfinds few of the page's blocks in it. The skill moves each case intosnippet()the next time it updates that wiki. - Python. Every release so far needs Python 3.9 or later.

If you install from a local clone whose files changed without a version bump, it keeps the old copy: uninstall and install again, and confirm with python skills/wikiwright/scripts/wikiwright.py cachecheck. A Claude Code session also keeps the SKILL.md it read when it started, so start a new session after updating.
gh skill: gh skill update wikiwright compares the tree SHA that gh skill install wrote into the frontmatter with the repository (not tested for this wiki).
A copied folder: git pull in your clone and copy skills/wikiwright again. A link needs only the pull.
