Pique's first regular release: syntax-highlighted Quick Look previews for the configuration files, profiles and scripts MacAdmins work with every day. Select a file in Finder, press Space.

More file types

• .conf — Linux-style config files preview with highlighting (#20, thanks @applebait).
• .mdx — renders as Markdown; import/export lines and JSX components are shown as text (#30, thanks @iamgnlc).

Better previews

• Minified JSON is pretty-printed — single-line .json files are re-indented for reading. Key order and number formatting are kept exactly as written; multi-line JSON and .ndjson/.jsonl are left as they are (#22, thanks @muescha).
• Code previews use SF Mono — fixes code previews falling back to Courier.

New settings

Open the Pique app and click the gear icon — or press ⌘, — to open Appearance Settings.

• Text Size — scale all preview text from 85 % to 200 %, for large displays or easier reading (#21, thanks @muescha).
• Code Font — choose the monospaced font for code: Default, SF Mono, Menlo, Monaco or Courier New. Markdown text stays proportional.
• Show Final Newline — marks a file's final newline with a dim ↵, so you can tell whether a file ends with one (#26, thanks @grylem).
• AutoPkg appearance — AutoPkg recipes now have their own Light/Dark/System row; previously they couldn't be overridden.

App

• The main window shows more of the supported formats, opens at a size that fits its content, and has a gently animated icon (paused when Reduce Motion is on).
• A thank-you link to the people supporting MacAdmins via GitHub Sponsors.

Notes

• Requires macOS 26. After installing, enable the extension under System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions → Quick Look, then run qlmanage -r if previews don't update.
• Pique.app is signed and notarized; the package is signed, notarized and stapled.
