0.3.0 - Titles, coloured tag chips, and previews

Latest

Choose a tag to compare

@macbyclp macbyclp released this 18 Aug 14:15

The panel was showing filenames. Since memorry server 0.5 every record has a title and tags in frontmatter, and the sidebar now reads both.

What's new

  • Titles come from frontmatter, falling back to the filename with its numeric id prefix stripped — records written before server 0.5 still list fine.
  • Coloured tag chips that double as filters: click one to narrow the list, click again to clear. Each chip carries its record count, so cluster sizes are readable at a glance.
  • Two-line body previews, so records are distinguishable without opening them. Search now covers the body and tags, not just title and project.
  • The meta line prefers updated_at when present and marks it edited. A record corrected in place keeps its original created_at, so showing only that made recently-fixed records look stale.

Tag colours

Colours are hashed from the tag name rather than looked up in a fixed vocabulary. Every user's tags are their own, in their own language; a hardcoded list would leave most of them grey. A hash gives a tag the same colour on every machine and every reload, which is all the eye needs to read clusters. Eight swatches live in styles.css.
