SMB Connect 0.7.3 (build 26) — beta
Switch to Preferred is new: when a share is mounted on a fallback path and the faster one comes back, the button on that share offers to disconnect it and mount it once on the preferred network. It only says that when the preferred path really is the one it will use, and it asks before acting — quit anything with files open on the share first.
The app now records what it does, so a problem can be looked into afterwards rather than reproduced: state changes, the path chosen for each share, and every mount and unmount along with what asked for it, including the ones macOS performs itself. Export Diagnostics in Settings puts that log, your shares, your network interfaces and the mount table into one file to send. No passwords or account names are in it.
Also fixed: a failed automatic reconnect could leave a share unmounted, because it disconnected before checking that it could reconnect; a crash and a Settings freeze around saved passwords; and the app is now far quicker to notice a server that is not answering.
SMBConnect.dmg is the menu bar app, SMBConnectDesktop.dmg is the Dock app with a window, and SMBConnect-Both-Apps.dmg has both.
