10.18.0 - 2026-10-10

Ghostex 10.18.0 is out. Coordinators are now called Orchestrators, failed sends fix themselves, the phone app stops crashing and reaches your Windows computer again, and Windows hooks, cloning and helper windows behave.

🧭 Orchestrators

• Coordinators are now called Orchestrators across the app, the phone, Help and the CLI; ghostex orchestrator is the new command and ghostex coordinator still works.

💬 Chat

• Failed sends fix themselves: Ghostex redraws a stuck screen, retypes once, or restarts the agent on its own conversation and delivers your message, and shows a card with one Fix it button only when that fails. It never restarts an orchestrator or a session with background work.
• A Claude session that quit before its first message starts fresh instead of failing to resume.
• Messages from other agents show their real text, and Not sent appears only when a send really failed.
• Claude Code's internal suggestion queries no longer show up as questions in the chat, and its faint guess at your next message is no longer mistaken for typed text.
• Sliding a panel no longer re-wraps or rebuilds the chat every frame, and the question card's buttons have an outline.

🪟 Windows

• Agent hooks no longer time out on Windows for Claude, Codex, Grok, OpenClaude and OpenCode, thanks to @gvastethecreator.
• No more console windows flashing from anything Ghostex starts in the background.
• Window glass uses Windows 11's own blur, so sidebar and panel slides run about three times faster, menus share the panels' bluish fill, and toasts no longer show a square blur; new installs on Windows still start with glass off.

📂 Projects and Files

• Add Project's clone shows git's progress, can be cancelled, never hangs on a password prompt, and starts at your drives on Windows.
• Project websites like GitHub, Linear and Jira open straight to the page instead of a command screen.
• Confirm delete in the files list is bold red, and text buttons in Settings and the Agents Hub have an outline.
• The hooks card shows Install all only when needed, with Uninstall all (now confirmed first) in a ⋯ menu and Refresh as an icon, and long extension descriptions show in full on hover.

📱 Phone

• The Android app no longer crashes and can send to a Windows computer again; Ghostex on the computer also listens where older phone apps look.

🧩 Workspaces and Work Mode

• Work Mode adds team Linear keys and GitHub as a workspace's tracker, with work cards on the phone (Settings > Extensions > Workspaces and Work Mode).
