Made Mark v2.0.0
A complete relaunch of the specification and website: navigation
reorganized around how people actually use Made Mark, and support for
labeling every format the spec was designed to eventually cover.
What is Made Mark?
Made Mark is an open specification for content authorship disclosure.
Three marks — Human Made, Human Designed, AI Made, and AI
Made — tell you who, or what, made a piece of content, in words
anyone can read.
What's new in v2.0
- Navigation reorganized by audience — The marks / Label your
work / Implement / About, replacing the original flat structure - Six format tools, all running entirely client-side — files
never leave the browser:- Text — custom-instructions setup for Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini
- Websites — JSON-LD + badge generator
- Images — JPEG/PNG XMP labeler with optional visible badge
- Video — end-card generator (16:9 / 9:16 / 1:1)
- Audio — MP3 ID3 tag labeler
- Physical goods — marking kit + QR tag generator for objects
- Verify a file — drop any file, read its Made Mark label and
C2PA Content Credentials in plain language - Badge lockups — icon + mark name, in the wordmark's own voice
- Installable as a PWA; sitemap.xml for search indexing
Mark URIs and label syntax are unchanged from v1.0 and remain frozen —
existing implementations don't break.
