Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 22, 2026
BaoLianDeng ("the App") is an open-source iOS proxy client developed by Max Lv. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
BaoLianDeng does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All network traffic processing happens entirely on your device.
The App does not collect, store, or share any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- Usage or analytics data
- Crash reports
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Browsing history or DNS queries
- Network traffic content
BaoLianDeng creates a local VPN tunnel on your device using the iOS Network Extension framework. Network traffic is routed through proxy servers that you configure by providing your own subscription URLs or server details. The App acts solely as a client — it does not operate, control, or have access to any proxy servers.
The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us:
- Proxy configuration files (YAML configs stored in the app's sandboxed container)
- Subscription URLs you provide
- Traffic statistics (upload/download byte counts, displayed in the App and reset on restart)
- App preferences (selected proxy mode, log level)
This data is stored in the App's sandboxed storage and the shared App Group container. It is not accessible by other apps and is removed when you uninstall the App.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
When you add a subscription URL, the App fetches proxy server configurations directly from that URL. This network request is made by your device and is subject to the privacy policy of the subscription provider you choose to use. We have no access to or control over these third-party services.
The App uses the iOS NEPacketTunnelProvider API to create a VPN configuration on your device. This requires your explicit permission via the iOS system VPN prompt. The VPN tunnel runs locally and routes traffic to the proxy servers you have configured. Apple may display a VPN icon in the status bar while the tunnel is active.
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
