v1.0.0 — Sheet Music for Ableton Live
Released June 4, 2026
View any MIDI clip in Ableton Live as readable sheet music, transpose it for any instrument, and export MusicXML, PDF, or PNG.
New Features and Improvements
- Added Show Chart to the right-click menu of any MIDI clip, rendering the clip as notation with OpenSheetMusicDisplay.
- Added transposition by instrument preset (Concert/C, Eb Alto Sax, Bb Trumpet/Clarinet, Bb Tenor Sax, Eb Baritone Sax, F Horn) or by an arbitrary number of semitones. The key signature follows the transposition automatically.
- Added automatic clef detection for treble, bass, or a two-staff grand staff for piano-range material, with a manual override.
- Added automatic quantize-grid detection (1/4–1/32), with a manual override.
- Added a time-signature override.
- Added export to vector PDF, PNG, and MusicXML. MusicXML opens cleanly in MuseScore and Dorico.
Requires Ableton Live 12.4 or newer with Extensions support (the Extensions feature is currently in the Live 12.4 beta; tested on 12.4.5b3).
