Matrix Screensaver v1.2.0
Adds optional AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0 upscaling.
- New
upscalingsetting (off by default; quality 1.5x, balanced 1.7x, performance 2x) andsharpness, also in the settings dialog. - Glyphs and the grid keep their on-screen size, and the scanlines, interlacing and flicker are applied after upscaling so they stay one pixel row thick.
- Heads-up: the rain is such a cheap shader that on a fast GPU FSR costs more than it saves (about 700 FPS native against 470-530 with FSR on an RTX 3060). It is meant for weak or integrated GPUs and very high resolutions.
fsr.pyis the same standalone port used in the aquarium screensaver (MIT license, see THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md).
Install: download MatrixRain.scr, right-click it and choose Install. The file is not code-signed, so SmartScreen or an antivirus may warn about it.
