Saleable Quantity a higher value than Quantity

Preconditions and environment

• Magento version 2.4.8
  this is exactly the same problem that How can Saleable Quantity be higher than physical quantity? #36467
  issue 36467 had.

Steps to reproduce

Cannot recreate
I did however reindex and flush cache and no change.

I physically have 1 item in stock
But saleable quantity shows 2 and quantity shows 1.
I tried changing quantity values and I can either get 1 extra in saleable quantity than I have available or I can have saleable quantity showing no stock.
I even tried making an order to reduce saleable quantity by 1, and after the order the stock saleable quantity changed to zero

The only way I see to resolve this is to create a new product reference for this item and disable the one in error.

Expected result

Saleable quantity should be equal to or less than saleable quantity

Actual result

Saleable quantity is 2 and quantity is 1

Thanks for your reporting and collaboration.

We have tried to reproduce the issue in Latest 2.4-develop instance and we are not able to reproduce the issue.Kindly refer the screenshots.

Salable quantity was equal to the Quantity.

Kindly recheck the issue in Latest 2.4-develop instance and elaborate the steps to reproduce if the issue is still reproducible and also check if any third party modules causing the issue.

I have no doubt that you cannot reproduce, because it should not happen, what I want to know is what can i do to fix the problem.
As I have stated, there is nothing I can do by adjusting the stock to get the saleable quantity stock correct.

What options are available to fix the issue just in my case?
Is the only option to disable the product and create a new one with the correct stock?
