Cloudlog v2.8.20 Release Notes
Welcome to Cloudlog version 2.8.20! This update brings a range of security hardening improvements, fixes for QSO logging and search routines, and updated radio modes, satellites, and contest definitions.
🔐 Security & Multi-User Improvements
- Strict Station & QSO Data Scoping: Tightened access controls across bulk updates, paper QSL updates, and station profiles. Users can now only update or modify records tied directly to their own station locations.
- Production-Safe Defaults: Cloudlog now defaults to a secure production environment out of the box unless explicitly configured otherwise via
CI_ENV.
📻 Logging & Mode Updates
- Slash Callsign Search: Fixed logbook search logic when looking up callsigns containing slashes (e.g. portable
/Por alternate prefix/suffix callsigns). Exact matches and external callbook lookups now use the correct full callsign. - POST Mode Improvements: Fixed an issue where time and frequency were lost between QSOs during manual entry. The interface now displays recent contacts specifically for the station location currently being logged.
- Old QSO Historical Lookups: Fixed manual logging for historic QSOs involving deleted DXCC entities (including two-digit year handling for earlier decades).
- JTTY Submode Added: Added
JTTYas a valid MFSK submode under the new WSJT-X modes.
🛰️ Satellites, Contests & Integrations
- LoTW & Satellite Mapping: Updated satellite mappings (including
QMR-KWT-2toRS95Sfor LoTW uploads) and synchronized Club Log satellite mappings. - SKCC Contests: Updated ADIF 3.1.8 contest definitions to include
SKCC-SKS,SKCC-SKSA,SKCC-SKSE, andSKCC-WES. - Google Earth KML Export: Fixed KML export formatting so exported
qsos.kmlfiles open properly in Google Earth. - Plugin System & Cron: Added an unauthenticated plugin cron trigger endpoint and a before-delete snapshot hook for QSOs.
🛠️ Server & PHP Compatibility
- PHP 8.2+ Compatibility: Resolved dynamic property deprecation warnings under PHP 8.2+ within the caching subsystem.
- Environment Configuration: Added support for setting runtime environments natively using the
CI_ENVvariable in Apache or Nginx configurations.
