Permissions

Command permissions

Permission Grants Default
sxbans.ban /ban, /tempban op
sxbans.unban /unban op
sxbans.mute /mute, /tempmute op
sxbans.unmute /unmute op
sxbans.kick /kick op
sxbans.warn /warn op
sxbans.history /history op
sxbans.check /check op
sxbans.ipban /ipban op
sxbans.ipunban /ipunban op
sxbans.ipmute /ipmute op
sxbans.ipunmute /ipunmute op
sxbans.reload /sxbans reload op
sxbans.admin Full access to /sxbans administration (reload, stats, backup, clear, etc.) false

If you're setting up a permissions plugin (LuckPerms, PermissionsEx, whatever) from scratch, sxbans.admin is the one you hand to your head-admin group. Everything else can go to your regular moderator group.

Bypass permissions

These let specific players/staff dodge punishments entirely — handy for testing, or for making sure your head admin never accidentally locks themselves out.

Permission Bypasses Default
sxbans.bypass.ban Bans op
sxbans.bypass.mute Mutes op
sxbans.bypass.kick Kicks op
sxbans.bypass.ipban IP bans op
sxbans.bypass.ipmute IP mutes op

Be deliberate about who gets these — they mean the punishment literally does not apply to that player, even if someone else on staff issues it.

Admin levels

SXBans has a permission-level system for punishment hierarchy — it stops a moderator from banning another moderator (or an admin) who outranks them.

Permission Level Default
sxbans.adminlvl.1 1 (lowest) op
sxbans.adminlvl.50 50 false
sxbans.adminlvl.100 100 (highest) false
sxbans.adminlvl.* All levels op

A staff member can only punish players whose level is strictly lower than their own. Regular players with no admin-level permission are treated as level 0, so any staff member can punish them normally.

Web panel permissions

Permission Grants Default
sxbans.web.access Access to the web panel at all false
sxbans.web.admin Full web panel access, including the live console and punishment management false

These are separate from the in-game web panel account system (see Web Panel) — the web panel has its own username/password accounts, independent of your Bukkit permissions plugin. These permission nodes are more relevant if you're integrating web panel access checks with in-game permission state elsewhere.
