Main St PR '64 A 1964 blackface Princeton Reverb in your computer. Amp, spring reverb, tremolo and a 1x10 cabinet.
The small blackface that has been a studio favourite for decades: sparkling cleans, a warm, singing edge when you turn it up, real spring reverb and that throbbing bias tremolo. Every part of the amp is simulated as an electronic circuit, sample by sample — no samples, no profiles, no captures:

  • The preamp tube and the Treble / Bass / Volume controls, with the taper of the original pots

  • The reverb circuit: the 12AT7 driver, the reverb transformer, a two-spring long tank and the recovery tube

  • The tremolo ("Vibrato") as the real thing: an oscillator tube moving the bias of the power tubes, with Speed and Intensity

  • The phase inverter, a pair of 6V6 power tubes and the output transformer

  • The GZ34 tube rectifier, with real sag when you dig in

  • The speaker (a 10" alnico) as an electrical load, so it pushes back on the amp like the real one So it responds like the amp does: to your pickups, your picking, your guitar's volume knob.

CABINET

Our own impulse responses of a 10" alnico speaker in a 1x10 combo cabinet: SM57, SM94, R121 and C414, each at cap, cap edge, cone and cone edge. Use one mic or blend two, with pan and phase, or turn the cabinet off to use your own IRs.
