Taskwire v1.53 — UI improvements, force kill escalation, and system tools.

Compiled with Nuitka to C++ for native machine code execution — smaller and more responsive than interpreted Python.

Note: The Windows port is still in early alpha and is not ready for general use. This release targets Linux only.

Changes:

  • Dashboard layout overhaul (QVBoxLayout with decoupled rows, locked vertical heights)
  • Memory widget: fixed lingering tooltip, centered gauge, added allocation breakdown bar
  • CPU/Temp/Fan graphs: "NA" for unfilled data, continuous line drawing with transition markers
  • Process manager: force kill escalation via pkexec with batched admin authentication
  • System tools: Caps Lock toggle (Linux only)
  • Worker: migrated to QThread, added memory stats (buffers/cached/free), excluded loop devices
  • Nuitka build: renamed output binary, improved resource path resolution
