Release list
Epsilon Download Manager 1.7.1
Epsilon Download Manager 1.7.1
Version 1.7.1 is an in-place upgrade. Existing settings, download links, history, queues, partial files, and browser integration are preserved.
Multi-Network reliability
- Fixed Windows adapter routing so a worker assigned to Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or tethering is explicitly routed through that interface instead of silently following the lowest-metric Windows route.
- Added a real transfer test for every selected adapter and per-network traffic labels in Download Details.
- Added controls for metered networks, daily usage, keeping one connection free, approval of newly detected networks, retry timing, and per-network colours.
- A failed adapter is temporarily removed from a download and retried later without failing the file.
Downloading and queues
- Added expected SHA-256 verification and queue selection to Add Download.
- Added a persistent “When I delete” preference. Completed files remain protected from disk deletion.
- Completed downloads are removed from schedule queues while remaining in download history.
- Scheduled queues use the configured simultaneous-download count instead of a fixed value.
- Improved pause/restart recovery and visible disk-loading progress.
BitTorrent
- Added BitTorrent protocol encryption (MSE/PE), IPv6 peer discovery from HTTP and UDP trackers, dual-stack incoming connections, persistent DHT contacts, and optional UPnP/NAT-PMP port mapping.
- Fixed upload back-pressure that could stall downloads.
- Torrent download and upload speed remain unlimited unless the user explicitly sets a limit.
Interface and localization
- Restyled Add Download, Add Torrent, Batch, Video, Website Grabber, Download Details, Intelligent Center, Download Complete, and delete prompts to match the v6 desktop design.
- Added the full Multi-Network settings panel and refreshed Options navigation.
- Improved English/Persian coverage, RTL layout, and dark-theme readability.
Packaging
- Chrome/Edge and Firefox extension packages are aligned to 1.7.1.
- The installer upgrades older Epsilon versions in place and keeps all application data.
Firefox extension
Install the Mozilla-approved extension from Firefox Add-ons.
Browser capture hotfix
The 1.7.1 files were refreshed on October 7, 2026 to fix the Add Download window failing to open for browser-captured links. The version and filenames remain 1.7.1. Existing settings and downloads are preserved when installing over 1.7.1.

Epsilon Download Manager 1.7.0
Epsilon Download Manager 1.7.0
Version 1.7.0 is an in-place upgrade. Existing settings, download links, history, queues, partial files, and browser integration are preserved.
New interface
- Rebuilt the main window around the approved Epsilon v6 design, with the real logo, compact menu bar, clean icon-and-label commands, filters, search, and a more visible status footer.
- Added a dedicated gallery containing all 12 themes.
- Added live Multi-Network and Speed Limiter panels to the main toolbar.
- Added filter counts, direct sorting, row checkboxes, Ctrl+A, Explorer-style drag selection, and a selection action bar.
- Added file/video/torrent type labels and seeding ratio status in the download list.
Download management
- Added three explicit delete choices: remove from the list, erase data but keep the entry, or remove everything.
- Completed downloads are always kept on disk when removed from Epsilon.
- Added a command to reset a remembered delete choice.
- Added queue assignment, no-queue/start-now, and new-queue creation to both selection and context menus.
- The footer now shows total download/upload speed, Multi-Network state, limiter state, browser connection, active count, and free disk space.
Engine
- Tracker tiers are contacted in parallel and peer connection ramp-up is faster.
- Upload limiting no longer blocks download reception from the same peer.
- Added a persistent seed-time limit and live application of torrent settings.
- Fixed selecting a previously skipped torrent file after the other files completed.
- Added BEP 19 HTTP(S) web-seed acceleration for single-file torrents.
- Persisted DHT bootstrap contacts between runs for faster peer discovery after restart.
- Torrents remain unlimited unless the user sets a torrent bandwidth limit.
Packaging
- The installer upgrades older Epsilon versions in place and keeps user data.
- Current Chrome/Edge and Firefox extension packages are included with the installer and release assets.
Epsilon Download Manager 1.6.0
Epsilon Download Manager 1.6.0
Epsilon 1.6 introduces a new desktop design and strengthens the download engine while preserving in-place upgrades and existing user data.
New design
- Replaced the large theme-colored header, permanent sidebar, and IDM-style icon ribbon with a single minimal Canvas workspace.
- Added compact All, Active, Finished, and Queues filters above the full-width download table.
- Kept every previous command available through the Canvas controls, row menu, optional navigation panel, and More panel.
- Added a dedicated gauge icon to the compact top speed limiter.
- Reduced oversized rounded elements in favor of restrained rectangular controls and download rows.
- Made Platinum Blue the default theme for new installations.
- Added the Makan Lab theme, based on makanlab.tech: ink black, electric blue, and amber.
- Added Makan Lab theme support to the Chrome/Edge and Firefox extension interfaces.
- Restored a compact top-bar speed limiter with Unlimited, quick presets, custom values, and combined/per-file modes.
- Replaced the old delete confirmation dialog with a three-choice contextual action bar.
- Completed downloads are now removed from Epsilon without deleting their finished files from disk.
Engine and reliability
- Added optional Multi-Network segmented downloads across multiple connected adapters.
- A failing secondary network is dropped automatically and the download continues through a healthy route.
- Downloads wait for the internet connection to return without consuming their retry allowance.
- Strengthened resume-map durability by synchronizing data flushes with map snapshots.
- Made final file replacement atomic so an existing destination is not deleted before replacement succeeds.
- Uses independent HTTP/1.1 connections for segmented downloads where supported, with HTTP/2 fallback.
Upgrade behavior
Install 1.6 normally over an older version. Settings, links, history, queues, and unfinished downloads are retained.

Epsilon Download Manager 1.5.0
Epsilon Download Manager 1.5.0
This release improves download reliability, scheduling, deletion, themes, and Windows packaging.
- Completed downloads are automatically removed from schedule queues while remaining in download history.
- Delete and Delete Completed now ask whether to remove entries only or also erase finished files from disk.
- Restored the Dracula theme and gave Arctic Glass a distinct dark, icy palette instead of duplicating Platinum Blue.
- Reduced disk-related speed drops during segmented downloads and improved end-of-download connection utilization.
- HTTP downloads now prefer HTTP/2 with a safe HTTP/1.1 fallback.
- Torrent piece hashing and disk writes use a bounded asynchronous pipeline, keeping peer traffic responsive. Torrent speed remains unlimited unless the user sets a limit.
- Added Store/MSIX packaging support while retaining the normal in-place-upgrade installer that preserves settings, queues, history, links, and unfinished downloads.
- Browser extensions now follow the expanded app theme list.
Epsilon Download Manager 1.4.2
Epsilon Download Manager 1.4.2
This release improves speed, scheduling, encrypted streaming reliability, and browser integration.
- Scheduled queues now follow the simultaneous-download limit from Options by default, with an optional per-queue override.
- New downloads can be assigned to any schedule queue, or create a new queue directly from the Add Download, batch, and video dialogs.
- The browser extension can send every highlighted link from the page and embedded frames as one batch.
- Smart connection learning is applied once instead of twice, avoiding unexpected speed reductions after server throttling.
- Encrypted HLS downloads now recover after a temporary key-request failure instead of reusing a failed cached request.
- Torrent completion closes pending write handles before verification, preventing intermittent locked-file failures.
