I have a gearit 30amo I'm trying to get integrated, and I cannot figure out the values scale to save my life (probably going to compare app output to value output) but thank you for sharing the tags! |

I had same issue. I had to go back and forth with SmartLife data and what
home assistant was showing. Also used ChatGPT which was a big help. I
just pasted screen shots from live data, then AI gave me the scaling
values.

The gearit 50a surge protector is for protection and monitoring “shore power” (grid) in an rv or boat. My use is in an rv. It monitors voltage, Current and power on two legs of 120vac, L1 and L2. Its wifi, woth data normally accessible only via a proprietary “adsafe” app. However I was able to pair with SmartLife (Tuya). Once in SmartLife I was able to integrate in home assistant with various Tuya integrations, but they would only expose one leg of data. Eventually I settled on this Tuya local integration, using the device “smartplugv2-energy, as it had dps for L1 and L2. It did take some effort to get the dps and scaling sorted out, but I finally got it.
18 L1 current
19 L1 power
20 L1 voltage
111 L2 current
112 L2 power
113 L2 voltage
note the L2 dps naming had to be swapped from original yaml to get true data to line up.
