A first-contact fix for v0.8.0. Found by installing v0.8.0 from the published tag into a clean project and running exactly what the installer told the user to run.
Fixed
The installer stopped telling new users to run a command that fails. Its closing message is the first thing anyone sees after curl | bash, and for many people the only instructions they read. It still said:
model-peer init ← exits 2, writes nothing
Preview it first with: model-peer init --dry-run ← exits 2, writes nothing
Both stopped working in v0.8.0, when init began requiring the agents it may write for. The message also still described init as installing for Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini, which is now only what init all does.
It now suggests model-peer init all — noting the single-agent forms — and describes init as writing only the directories you name.
A regression test extracts every model-peer init … line from the installer's own output and runs each one, so the epilogue cannot drift from the CLI again.
Who should upgrade
Nothing about the installed files changed, and model-peer itself behaves identically to v0.8.0. Upgrading matters if you hand the install command to someone else — a teammate following the v0.8.0 installer's instructions hits an error on their first command.
