InstallerExtractor v1.2.0

Highlights

  • Fix: install failures (msiexec 1603/1925/…) are no longer reported as success —
    CLI exit code and --json success now reflect reality (critical for AI agents).
  • Fix: --silent-args now auto-wraps .msi sources with msiexec /i.
  • New: --per-user — MSI per-user install without admin rights
    (injects ALLUSERS="" + MSIINSTALLPERUSER=1, registers to HKCU / Settings).
  • New: --elevate — relaunch CLI through UAC and propagate exit code.
  • New: --no-run-as-invoker — opt out of the RunAsInvoker compat layer (CLI parity with GUI).
  • Docs: full no-admin install guide in docs/NO-ADMIN-INSTALL.md + msiexec exit-code table.

Upgrade note

Scripts that previously ignored failed installs will now see exit=2 /
"success": false. Treat it as a real failure.
